I've been away for a while

I haven't written in a while for a number of reasons.  I feel like it's been quite a whirlwind since I got back to Philly.  The last 2 months have gone by in a flash.  Up until Scott left to return to Sicily 2 weeks ago it seemed like we were doing nothing but running around seeing family and friends.  It's a sad excuse for not writing, but I don't care.  You can add to that the poor internet connection at my house.  Well, now I'm hooked up with a wireless router and a modem that actually works...and my loneliness is making me drift over to the internet to help occupy my time.  So here I am again, attempting to make regular posts on here.

Nothing can cure my overall grumpiness better than comfort food.  I'll leave you with a photo of my Mom's lasagna.  I ate it with a glass of Chardonnay.  I don't care if red wine would have gone better with it.  My mantra for the new year is "eat and drink whatever the hell you want and ignore all of the rules if you think it tastes good."  Actually, now that I think about it that's not my mantra for the new year, it's been my mantra for a while.
